CRISPY UKOY (SHRIMPS)

Shrimp lovers, this dish is for you guys. The ingredients for this dish are the following:

1 cup small shrimps
1 egg
1 cup water
3/4 cup cornstarch added to 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon patis (fish sauce)
dash of vetsin (optional)
Oil for frying
Garlic sauce

Procedure:

Wash shrimps very well to remove the sea smell of it. Drain and set aside. In a bowl, slightly beat egg. Add water, cornstarch/flour mixture, baking powder, baking soda, salt, patis, vetsin and shrimps. Mix thoroughly. heat oil in a deep pan. Deep-fry about brown and crispy. Dry on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve with vinegar or garlic sauce .

CHICKEN FINGERS

Chicken is one of the most easy to cook dishes. For this dish, you will be needing the following ingredients.

1 kilo chicken breast, deboned and sliced into finger-like pieces
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons milk
Oil for frying
Honey-mustard sauce

Procedure:

Mix flour, salt, pepper, beaten egg and milk until well-blended. Dredge chicken pieces until fully coated. Heat oil in deep pan. Deep-fry chicken pieces, turning once, until cook and crisp. Drain the excess oil off. Serve it with honey-mustard sauce. An alternative to this is soy sauce or ketchup will do the same.
